About The Ray Ellis

Born in the small town of Drew, Mississippi, Ray Ellis is the 14th of 19 children. From humble beginnings, he grew up on the south side of Chicago, where life’s challenges sharpened his perspective and fueled his creativity.

A lifelong reader with a boundless imagination, Ray’s passion for storytelling is matched only by his love for exploring the world. His travels have exposed him to diverse cultures and human experiences, enriching his understanding of people and deepening the heart behind his stories.

Though he holds no formal literary degree, Ray proudly considers himself a graduate of the School of Life, his wisdom drawn from lived experience, resilience, and a genuine curiosity about the world around him.

This is Ray’s debut novel, a heartfelt and imaginative journey that reflects the values, faith, and hope that have guided him throughout his life.
